Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Freeport, Bahamas!
Less than a hundred miles from the Florida coast, Grand Bahama is the northernmost and fourth largest island in The Bahamas chain, and is the closest Bahamian island to the United States. On the coast itself, along the Northwest Providence Channel, the town of Lucaya offers the best beachfront accommodations and cafes in the greater Freeport area. On Grand Bahama’s western tip, about a half-hour drive from Freeport, a number of fishing villages are preserved much as they were during Prohibition when rumrunners made the short commute between the village of West End and Palm Beach, Florida. The fishing villages on Grand Bahama’s western tip offer an historically preserved, natural alternative to the more commercial Freeport, where you can enjoy authentic, traditionally-prepared Bahamian cuisine and experience the natural beauty and native culture of The Bahamas.
